I have a long story with comparative genomics of yeasts, starting with genome sequencing and assembly before the NGS era, in the context of the Genolevures consortium. I am especially interested in evolution of genome structure and genetic elements such as transposable elements that shape genome architecture. After more than a decade on functional genomics of oleaginous yeasts, I reoriented my projects on yeast communities from different natural or anthopic environments (wine, cheese, insect gut) with population genomics approaches.
